Team Bios

Christine Winston

Christine Winston is the co-founder and Vice President of Path Forward, a nonprofit organization helping people return to their careers after time spent caregiving. In the seven years since Path Forward’s founding, the organization has worked with tens of thousands of returners and helped more than 100 employers implement and expand successful return to work programs that create opportunities for traditionally overlooked talent. Having taken a career break to raise her own children, Christine is driven to help others reengage with their careers and find success and fulfillment both at work and at home. Prior to Path Forward, Christine spent fifteen years in a diverse set of roles across marketing, communications, strategic planning, and finance at JPMorgan Chase, Moviefone, and AOL. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and two sons.

Destiny Colon

Destiny Colon is the Program Director for Path Forward. She is a professional change-maker and barrier remover with more than 13 years experience in project management in the non-profit sector. At Path Forward Destiny leads the program team in strategic planning, curriculum design, and relationship management. Prior to Path Forward, Destiny worked in workforce development with The Doe Fund and Back on My Feet and in the area of international trade and business development with the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce. In addition to providing guidance and leadership at Path Forward, she is also a licensed outdoor guide, leading day hikes and backpacking trips in the Adirondack, Catskill, and Shawangunk regions of New York. Destiny lives in the Inwood section of Manhattan with her husband Jameson and dog Artemis.

Tess Fraser

Tess Fraser is the Director of Development at Path Forward. She has worked in nonprofit development and communications for the past 18+ years and is passionate about connecting, building relationships, inspiring philanthropy, and advancing meaningful work. She feels a special connection to our mission, having taken a break from her own career for several years to care for her own children. Tess looks forward to connecting with and collaborating with those who are also inspired to empower caregivers, reduce stigma, and pave pathways for those looking to restart their careers. She lives in Buffalo, NY, with her husband, Don, and their two children, ages 13 and 10.

Pam McKeta

Pam McKeta is the Director of Marketing at Path Forward. Her goal is to exponentially increase the number of people who know about the incredible returnship opportunities and support available from Path Forward and its network of forward-thinking companies. Previously, Pam led communications and marketing at both small nonprofits (Active Minds) and large (PBS) and several organizations in between. She specializes in digital marketing and is thrilled to contribute to this vital movement to change expectations and outcomes for women who take time off from their careers for caregiving. Pam lives in Fairfax, VA with her husband Dave and is mom to three young adults.

Meredith Hartery

Meredith Hartery is a Director of Partnerships – Team Lead at Path Forward. She is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in business development and full-cycle partnership management.  Prior to her own break for caregiving, Meredith worked within the worlds of major league sports and media with organizations such as the Oakland Athletics and NBC Universal.  She also led the Sports Division for GovX in the startup world. Meredith is committed to using her development background to help drive positive change in how women and their work are viewed and valued.  As an active member of her community, she is the state President of West Virginia National Organization for Women.

Suzanne Reynolds

Suzanne Reynolds, Director of Partnerships, joins Path Forward to advance the critical mission of enabling caregivers who took a mid-career break to professionally reestablish and reengage. As a returner, she is highly energized by the work ahead to destigmatize career gaps, increase workforce participation, and to build partnerships and returnship programs with corporate employers who value and desire the talent and contributions of returners in their organizations. Suzanne’s background includes an 18-year career at P&G Healthcare in sales, business development, customer marketing, and strategic alliance roles, and the founding of an IT startup at Cintrifuse. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband, two children, and two rescue pups, and enjoys water sports, golf, volunteering, and all things culinary!

Emily Askri

Emily is the Program Manager at Path Forward. For over a decade, she has been helping people fulfill their potential and become self-sufficient through various workforce programs. Emily has empowered clients to overcome their barriers and go after their dreams, while also building relationships with employers to ensure equal access to employment opportunities. She has also spent a great deal of time managing and developing complex programs in Wisconsin and North Africa.   Emily is proud to be part of the movement to empower caregivers to return to the workforce at Path Forward. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband and son.

Lordess Townsend

Lordess Townsend is a Program Manager at Path Forward. She is eager to contribute toward the impeccable work at Path Forward to support extraordinary returners during their transition back to the workforce. Her professional career has been centered around advancing economic mobility for historically excluded job seekers for the past seven years. She has previously worked both as a student fellow at the University of Pennsylvania: Ortner Center on Violence and Abuse and as a staff member at other community based organizations to service intimate partner violence survivors, stay at home mothers/military spouses, caregivers, opportunity youth, returning citizens, and im(migrant) workers with trauma and cultural responsiveness.

Melyssa Muro

Melyssa serves as Program Coordinator for Path Forward. She began her work in the nonprofit sphere while still a student at Columbia University through development and administrative internships with The Moth, Doctors Without Borders and the grantmaking organization, The Prospect Hill Foundation. She is excited to continue her professional career with Path Forward to help support program management, fundraising, marketing efforts, and any task the team needs. As the daughter of a stay at home mother, she is all-too-familiar with the stigma that comes with a gap for caregiving and is determined to not only help build the on-ramp for our dynamic participants, but also push companies to rethink their definitions of inclusivity and workplace flexibility.
